Thank You, Universe!

Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving was pretty good. I had turkey with cranberry sauce (my fave)! and ham with rum raisin sauce from Zippy’s. I also had all kinds of other foods… chocolate cake (dobash), haupia, cookie, some kind of peanutbutter and chocolate dessert thing, vegetarian chili with brown rice, an avocado sandwich… it was a day for food.

I also went to Safeway and got a bouquet of flowers to put on mom and dad’s niche. It felt good visiting them, and honoring them on Thanksgiving. I skipped on my family’s party. I can’t say exactly why, but it’s not the same without mom there anymore. I needed some space. I’m thankful for my relatives though. Don’t get me wrong about that.

I’m also thankful for the life I have, and the ability to do things like train for the Honolulu Marathon, and go back to school and start taking the first steps towards a new career, in January.

I’m looking forward to the future, and enjoying the present, and very humbled and grateful for all these opportunities. I’m so happy to be leaving IT and pursuing something that actually interests me! I hope to succeed and be able to help other people.
